Joe Saint Michael DePuglio


Joe has ended his physics teaching career with forty years, being an A level and AP level Physics high school teacher in the township of Hamilton, NJ. (outside of Princeton and next to the capitol city of Trenton). He now is engaged in the world of music publishing, production, writing and performing.

Joe is also one of a five member selection committee representative for the United States Achievement Academy based in Lexington Kentucky, U.S.A. Each year the top applications for High School science achievements from the best science students of the U.S.A. are sent to Joe for evaluation. The scholarships can be as high as $10,000. Joe then recommends the order and rank of these students.

Joe also serves as a Mentor of Science Teachers and has been a member of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society for over twenty years. Joe's honors include Governor's Teacher Grant in 1988 and Mercer County Engineers Society Physics Teacher of the Year 2000. He was the first physics teacher in New Jersey to receive the Delaware Valley Engineers Society Physics Teacher of the Year 2001.

Joe has received Who's Who Among Physics Teachers for six editions. He holds two Masters Degrees in the areas of the sciences of Physics and Counseling. He was honored by NJN-TV across New Jersey in 2005. He was nominated for Leading Educators of the World in 2005 and included in the thirty-third edition of the Dictionary of International Biography for 2006.

Further, Joe was included in Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century out of Cambridge England in 2005. He has been a member of NEA, NJEA, HTEA and the American Association of Physics Teachers. Further memberships include the National Pastoral Musicians, and the Solo Musicians Network. He holds an executive position in the American Federation of Musicians local 62 and is a publisher and writer member of ASCAP. He was one of NHR's outstanding American Teachers of 2005 and 2006 and IBC's Century award for achievement in 2006. He has been published in Who's Who in the World and Who's Who in America through 2012.
